NCFCA offers ten speech events, which are divided into three main categories: Platform, Interpretation, and Limited Preparation Speeches. Each of these categories offers distinct opportunities for students to develop their communication skills.

For competition, each speech type is subject to General Speech Rules, as well as Event-specific Rules. Interpretation and Platform Speeches require compliance with Script Rules, as well.
