NCFCA Transitions

Dear NCFCA Families and Friends,

As you know, Teresa Hudson announced last week that she is stepping down from her role as President but remaining on our Board of Directors and as an active parent in NCFCA. We as a Board are incredibly thankful for her excellent service in the role of President for the past seven years. The extent of the sacrifices she has made on behalf of the league will only ever be truly known to the Lord, but we want to do our best to acknowledge her hard work and express our deep gratitude for all she has done. We are also grateful that Teresa is remaining on the Board of Directors to continue to contribute her wisdom and many years of experience to guiding NCFCA.

As the Board considered how to manage this transition, we decided our chief operating officer would carry the title Executive Director instead of President, in order to better reflect the structure of the organization at present. The Executive Director will oversee the day-to-day operations of the league, including the current director positions of Director of Forensics, Director of Technology, Director of Education, and administrative staff.

We next had to consider whom we might hire to serve as Executive Director. One name quickly rose to the top of our list of candidates due to her extensive knowledge and experience in the league as well as her excellent service in the role of Director of Forensics. We are pleased to announce that the Board has offered the position of Executive Director to Kim Cromer, and Kim has graciously accepted.

We know you join with all of us in welcoming Kim into her new role as Executive Director as well as thanking Teresa for her service as President. The transition has already begun to take place and is moving forward smoothly. With the day-to-day operations in the capable hands of Kim Cromer, we as a Board will continue to work hard on the overall policy and direction of the league. That work will include pursuing a candidate to serve as the new Director of Forensics.

We covet your prayers for this time of transition as we endeavor to create a strong and vibrant league that will allow students to learn how to address life issues from a biblical worldview in a manner that glorifies God.

For God’s glory,

The NCFCA Board of Directors

Wahoo! Congratulations, Kim! Several years ago, I was pretty sure that one day you would lead NCFCA. You will be TERRIFIC! I feel this is a God-appointment and I will be praying for you! Much love! — Kim in Frisco
