Region 1

Our region hosts tournaments each season in Hawaii. Students prepare with independent clubs, associated schools, and their own families as they gain skills that will last a lifetime.

We compete in our region and some families travel around the country for national tournaments.

Region 1 Coordinator

Maile Higashi
Region 1 Coordinator
Maile and her husband, Mike, live in East Honolulu on the island of Oahu. They have four children and a daughter-in-law, all of whom competed (and two who currently compete) in NCFCA beginning in 2015. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Masters in Physical Therapy from the University of Puget Sound. Her hobbies include coffee over long chats with family and friends, hiking, and spending time with her sweet grandchildren, most of all!
