A British native, Sue Penson and her husband, Richard, moved to the United States in 1997 after 10 years of marriage.
They have four children, all of whom have competed or are competing in NCFCA. The Pensons have a “zoo” of about 60 reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates in their basement and use them to give educational presentations to their community. During University, Sue was awarded the Faculty of Science Medal for her research studying wetlands in Northern Nigeria. She gave up her PhD studies to raise a family, and is grateful that God’s purpose for us is greater than we can ever imagine. Sue currently serves as the NCFCA Treasurer.
